Frequently Asked Questions
Do you have to be a business major to join?
Not at all! We are open to all majors and class standings.
What does the recruitment process look like?
The recruitment process is broken up into eight weeks: rushing and pledging. Rushing is a series of events that give interested students the opportunity to learn more about AKPsi and its members while also allowing current brothers to get to know potential new brothers. Students that display a willingness to challenge themselves and connect with our members will be given a bid to interview. Those successful in their interviews will be invited to pledge.
Through an 8-week pledge process, pledges will collaboratively work together in committees (Professional development, Philanthropy, Fundraising, Executive, Social) to meet certain goals. Pledges will challenge themselves alongside their peers, refining skills such as leadership, organization, communication, and time management.

What skills will you build through pledging?
The pledge process simulates events, situations, and circumstances that will be found in anyone’s professional life. Pledges learn how to work efficiently under pressure, event and budget planning, communicating with professionals, and more. You are welcome to reach out to any and all members to learn more about what they personally learned through the process.
What is Rho Chapter looking for?
Pledges that practice resourcefulness, proper business etiquette, and an initiative to work hard and improve upon their weak spots are regarded highly. You will be faced with new challenges, and so we expect you to reach out to us for guidance while at the same time work with your team to overcome any difficulties. Finally, make an effort to get to know membership and your pledge class. Brotherhood is another key aspect of Rho!
We look forward to meeting you!
